StopAccess ("we", "our", or "us") is deeply committed to protecting your privacy. Our core philosophy is absolute privacy: we do not collect, transmit, centrally log, or monetize your personal data through this Chrome Extension.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

StopAccess operates defensively solely within your local browser sandbox constraints. We do not integrate third-party analytic SDKs or telemetry servers. We explicitly do not collect remote schemas of:

  • Your browsing history
  • Your IP address
  • Identifiers related to your machine or accounts

2. Local Hardware Processing

To enforce daily limits correctly, StopAccess measures foreground browser tabs using the Tabs API. It compares real-time host navigation against your precise denylists. This logic operates strictly locally. Your active intervals and session timelines are safely restricted to chronological device storage boundaries, never leaving the machine.

3. Cloud Sync (NextDNS Integration)

If you leverage the NextDNS sync logic, you supply your external Profile ID and Secret. We strictly isolate these records within the browser's secured Extension Storage. Communications stream directly to NextDNS's REST API. StopAccess is fundamentally a localized proxy client to format your parameters, not a middleman processing them centrally.

4. Guardian Framework

If you designate "Strict Mode" with a "Guardian PIN", your key value strictly caches via native Chrome Storage layers, restricting unvetted updates instantly. We build no bypass, analytics backup, or server overrides.

5. Required Operations Permissions

  • storage: Maintains your system options offline securely internally.
  • tabs: Detects domains and real-time interval monitoring enabling accurate access restrictions paired to distinct site addresses.
  • declarativeNetRequest: Powers ultra-lightweight dynamic rule arrays mapping constraints efficiently ahead of document rendering without script overheads.
  • alarms & idle: Enforces active countdown blocks persisting beyond tab sleeps efficiently.

6. Transparency Policy
